TRE® for First Responders, Military Personnel, Dental, and Medical Professionals
For Those Who Keep Going — Even When the Body Says Stop

You’re trained to stay calm, focused, and in control — no matter what unfolds. But when the shift ends, your body doesn’t always get the message.
Sleep may come, but true rest doesn’t. The body reacts before the mind — tightening, scanning, and staying ready long after the shift is done. The system remains on alert — wired, tense, and braced for the next demand.
This isn’t weakness — it’s your nervous system doing its job a little too well.
That’s where TRE® – Tension & Trauma Release Exercise comes in — a body-based, stigma-free, trauma-informed method to help you down-regulate your nervous system and rebuild resilience from the inside out.
What Makes TRE® Different?
TRE® gently activates the body’s natural reflex to release muscular tension, stress, and stored survival energy. It normalizes your “instinctive neurogenic tremors”— your body’s built-in recovery response — helping your nervous system complete the stress cycle and return to balance.
Use it before high-stress events to prepare, or after demanding shifts to release tension and restore equilibrium. Regular practice turns off hypervigilance, promotes deep recovery, and builds long-term resilience — reducing chronic stress and supporting lasting mental and physical health.

The Origin of TRE®
TRE® was created by Dr. David Berceli, a Field Traumatologist who spent over 20 years working in war zones and disaster areas across Africa and the Middle East. While living among communities under fire, he noticed a remarkable pattern — people naturally tremored while sheltering from bombings, their bodies instinctively releasing tension during and after moments of fear and chaos. His findings prompted research confirming that all mammals tremor to release stress — the science that inspired TRE®. TRE® has been publicly taught since the early 2000’s and international teacher certification trainings rolled out in 2011.
Since 1998, First Responders, Military Personnel, Medical Professionals, Frontline Workers and Elite Athletes have used TRE® to regulate their nervous system, restore balance, and build resilience.

The Evidence For TRE®
TRE® is recognized worldwide for its effectiveness in reducing hyperarousal, muscular tension, and stress. It has been identified by the U.S. Military as one of the five most promising techniques for regulating the nervous system, with a clinical trial currently underway through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Peer-reviewed research shows TRE® helps reduce symptoms of stress and PTSD, supports emotional regulation, and improves sleep, resilience, and overall quality of life. Front-line health professionals in Australia also report immediate calming effects and recommend it widely to colleagues.

Learn TRE® Safely
TRE® is easy to learn — in person or online. You can work one-on-one, bring your own group, or invite Kat for on-site training.
Most people learn the basics in one foundational session (1.5 hours) and refine their self-regulation skills through three to four follow-ups — creating a safe, lifelong TRE® practice.
When you work with Kat, you’re guided in a confidential, supportive environment. Each session is paced with care and respect — especially for those carrying the weight of chronic stress or trauma.
Your body already knows how to recover — it just needs permission.
Let TRE® help you unwind, restore balance, and rebuild resilience from the inside out.
